Dogs are allowed. Waste bags and waste bins are provided at clean up
stations.
IMPORTANT: It is at your own risk to bring your dog near horses
or donkeys. They naturally have self preservation skills and
may see your dog as a predator or threat due to their resemblance
to wolves/ coyotes. Donkeys do not know the difference unless trained
to. In most cases a donkey will chase a predator out of the pasture. If the
predator does not retreat quick enough the donkey WILL attack and could
result in injury, death, or at the very least discourage the predator.
Our farm dogs are not allowed near the donkeys for this reason and we
recommend for the animals safety you do the same. Thank you.

Unlike many venues, Stable Craft offers a dedicated indoor and outdoor ceremony site, so this means that in the case of inclement weather the venue doesn't have to be "flipped" from your ceremony to the reception. Reception tables are all available to be setup prior to the ceremony and need not be moved in case of rain. This ensures a smooth transition into the reception and makes the decision to bring a ceremony inside (or not) much less stressful.
Because we only host one event per day, our fee structure remains the same whether you hold your ceremony, reception or both onsite.
Dogs are allowed outside on a leash at the ceremony and pictures. Animals, other than service animals, are NOT allowed under roof or near food. Your dog is at your own risk near our donkeys and horses.
We do not keep a cancellation waiting list because once a date is purchased we do not resell the date.
Unfortunately, if you're trying to compare venues "apples to apples" we feel like this is a tricky question. Our answer is no. We think its possible for the job duties of a "day-of wedding coordinator" to mean something different to you than it does to us, and the last thing we want is the opportunity for miscommunication. However, we do have a venue representative here before you arrive onsite who stays with you throughout the duration of your big day. They will assist with questions regarding set-up, where outlets are located and to set up and break down ceremony chairs. We would recommend every bride hired a competent wedding planner to assist with the day-of-activities. Please click here for list of our approved wedding planners.
Stable Craft offers on-site catering and bartending packages with prix fixe menus.
The short answer is no and let us elaborate. In our 20+ years in the business, we have seen wedding day tragedies that will make a bride cringe. From caterers not showing up, to running out of food, not cleaning up (leaving father, mother and Aunt Katherine holding the bag) and yes most memorable was seeing a wedding cake drop on the floor and then trying to piece it back together for service. You only plan one wedding and we prefer to save our brides this horrid experiences by working with professionally trained staff.
If you elect the one day rental, our venue will likely be reserved by another couple the night before. For that reason, one day rentals should plan for an offsite rehearsal.
We do not include linen rentals but now have in-stock 6 rustic Farm House tables that do not require linens.
We do not allow fireworks or candles because of our horses and hay storage in our barn.
Yes but they must be retrieved by 10 am the following morning.
New for 2019, we have installed a professional sound system so you may use a playlist for your wedding reception. This new benefit helps save money on your wedding day.
Pre-approved times with rental companies for drop offs and picks the day before or day after your wedding are allowed. Items must be stored in a designated area and retrieved before noon the following day.
We do not allow outside beer due to Virginia ABC laws and the fact that we manufacture craft beer. We offer 16 styles of beer and offer an American Blonde Ale that will suit those non-craft beer drinkers palates.
As our family logged some the trees off our farm and cut the boards one by one, we request that holes are not placed in the walls. We will have areas where hooks are already placed that you are welcome to use for any additional decorations. We hope that you will find them beautiful without any extra work!
The party must stop at 10PM and the room returned to broom clean condition by 11:00PM. All approved caterers on our list are aware of these rules. All materials brought in for the wedding must be removed before exiting the property at 11:30PM. All guests and staff must be off the property by 11:30 pm in accordance with our county’s rules and regulations.
In order for Stable Craft’s team to effectively plan for your wedding day, we need all information 8 weeks in advance prior to wedding day.
